The Invention Convention - In Schools

The Invention Convention works with local school districts in delivering the program to students and teachers. The program was developed as a way to recognize all of the great things that students and teachers and schools are doing everyday.

The Invention Convention is set up to be flexible so it can be any where from a week-long to a semester-long program that teachers can implement in their classroom, after school, or any way it best fits their district. We provide the necessary materials on-line, provide teachers with information and support, and offer assemblies to support the program. We then invite top finalists from each school district to compete at the regional competition for college scholarships.

The other major component of the program is to actively share and celebrate the accomplishments of the students. We work with local and national media to recognize and reward students on their achievements.

During the process, students learn and develop many important life skills. Students learn creative problem solving, build self esteem, and are encouraged to master the invention process. Those are just some of the benefits that students get from the program, in addition to the 57+ awards we present at the regional competition.
