Cherylyn's support staff includes a diverse mix of individuals dedicated to the program's mission - providing opportunities to local students.

The Invention Convention was developed with many great and complimentary purposes in mind. One guiding facet was the desire and need to share good and positive news about what is happening in Ohio classrooms. The media reports on the many negative aspects of life - we aim to balance the news with all of the great things children do every day. Celebrating the accomplishments of our children, our schools, and our communities shines light on the good news that is happening all around us. Invention Convention kids do great things and the news of their accomplishments should be front and center everyday.

Another founding tenet for The Invention Convention is the belief that every child is an inventor. If you teach kids to just think, to pay attention, provide them the right environment and tools, and remove the fear of failure, kids can do amazing things. Being genuinely interested in their minds and in their potential, and helping them develop their creativity and problem-solving skills is not only the foundation for invention, but also the foundation for developing critical life-long skills. And the earlier that kids develop these important skills, the better off all of us are.

Everyone at Just Think Inc. and The Invention Convention works to improve our program to meet the changing needs of kids. We have great partners and sponsors who share our vision and allow us to do our job - to provide an invaluable program, to encourage, support, and to listen. We want kids to explore ideas, trust their thoughts, try and try again. A resilient kid who can brainstorm without restrictions, a kid who not only learns, but learns to think, who starts to build these skills is an indicator that we've done our job.

We have over 15 years of service in the Columbus community and our statewide expansion is well underway. We have regional competitions in The Miami Valley, Cleveland, and now, Cincinnati areas.

We are still building towards our 1st State Competition where the winners from each regional competition will come together for even bigger prizes and awards.

We've seen the difference that this program has made in the lives of hundreds of children. You can help the program, just contact us to find out how.
