I.C. Event Day Registration!

Students selected to represent their district must register with their district coordinator by completing the official Invention Convention Student Registration Form. All fields must be completed and the form must be signed by:
1) the student's parent/legal guardian and
2) the district coordinator. (Coordinators/teachers may not sign for the parent/guardian.)

Forms are available directly through your district coordinator.

Deadline: 5:00 PM on Friday, April 18, 2008 -
The Invention Convention must receive completed Registration Forms from Coordinators by the designated deadline. District Coordinators MUST deliver completed, signed finalist registration forms to Invention Convention Director at Invention Convention office by deadline. "Postmarked By" will NOT be accepted and there will be no extensions or exceptions! ALL forms must be received ONLY through District Coordinator. Only original documents will be accepted. No faxed or copied signatures will be accepted.

Invention Journals:
A complete Student Inventor Journal or Log is required. Finalists will be asked to produce their journal/log at the Invention Convention event. The journal/log must include the following:
1) A description of the problem
2) Ideas created to solve the problem
3) A description of the invention, and
4) How the invention solves the problem.
5) A detailed description of the research you conducted to determine you invention's originality.
(Students can use the Official Invention Convention Journal or one of their own. It must be hand written and legible.)

Location:
Veterans' Memorial Hall. Each registered finalist will be sent complete details and credentials by mail directly to their home address listed on the Official Registration Form. A set-up and judging schedule will be provided which the student must follow. Models must be fully set-up at their assigned booth at their assigned time. Students must be present at the assigned evaluation time for judging.
